U.I.W. News.....
News of the cancellation of the Caesar Creek & Turtle Creek Shows was not recieved until about 3:00 P.M. thursday 7/3/08. We at UIW are very disappointed, of course. I'm sure there are a lot of rumors floating around about the cancellation, but the truth is, it is not related to anything that UIW caused or did. It is an insurance related issue due to the recent fire at Turtle Creek Flea Market. Because of the recent fire, Levin, Inc., owners of both venues, their insurance company considered our shows a liabiliy issue and threatened to cancel the insurance on both facilities. UIW was informed that the only way the shows could continue was with $1 million dollar liabiliy insurance on the shows. UIW was not prepared to do this and did not feel it our responsibly. To make a long story longer, we agreed with Levin, Inc. representatives to cancel the remaining "SummerHeat" shows with the company. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused. Please check our schedule for some updated show info..

Mr. Hendee is currently negotiating with a former WWE & WCW womens title contender. This female performer has held the WCW Womens Championship. She is a rare talent and will take on all challengers.
Mr. Hendee, who is on a mission to bring in the best talent to UIW, is close to signing a major player in the MMA/NHB fight scene. He is regarded as one of the bggest men in the business and will certainly be a force to be reckoned with. At over 6' 10" the UIW roster better brace themselves for an overpowering prescence.

In other Indy news...
Just a word of caution to fans and talent as well beware of promoters promising "Big Names" only to deliver cheap imitations of Stars. Although this type of thing has been going for years in the business, it is first of all illegal, as in copyright infringement, subject to huge fines and possible imprisonment. Secondly it is False advertisement, unless the promoter runs a disclaimer stating that these performers are imitators and not the original performer. Sometimes advertising can be manipulated to infer that the performers are the originals without actually stating one way or the other the facts.
